Stress Buster is a browser extension designed to help you relax and relieve stress. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the data we collect.

## Data Collection

### Local Storage

Stress Buster uses Chrome's local storage API to save your preferences and game progress. This data never leaves your device.

### Analytics (Opt-In Only)

If you choose to opt in, we collect anonymous usage data via Mixpanel to help improve the extension. This includes:

- A randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to your identity)
- Extension version
- Browser locale
- Screen resolution
- Usage events (e.g., features used, game interactions)

**We do NOT collect:**

- Your name, email, or any personal information
- Browsing history or activity on other websites
- Cookies or tracking across websites
- Any content you view or type

### Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics at any time through the extension's settings. When you opt out, your anonymous identifier is deleted and no further data is sent.

## Third-Party Services

We use [Mixpanel](https://mixpanel.com) for analytics processing. Mixpanel's privacy policy can be found at https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy/.

## Permissions

- **Storage**: Used to save your preferences and game state locally on your device.
- **Host Permission (api.mixpanel.com)**: Used solely to send anonymous analytics data when you have opted in.

## Data Retention

Analytics data is retained in Mixpanel according to their standard data retention policies. Since all data is anonymous, it cannot be traced back to you.

## Children's Privacy

Stress Buster does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
